This course equips participants with essential critical thinking skills to improve the quality of workplace decisions. Learners will be introduced to systematic processes for analyzing problems, evaluating evidence, and making reasoned judgments. The programme explores how to identify inconsistencies in reasoning, apply standards of thinking such as clarity, accuracy, logic, and fairness, and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of alternative interpretations. Participants will also examine the stages of critical thinking development, gaining self-awareness of their current level and strategies for advancement.
In addition, the course addresses cognitive biases such as egocentric and sociocentric thinking, providing practical methods to reduce their influence on judgment. Through interactive discussions, case studies, and reflective exercises, participants will practice applying critical thinking frameworks to real workplace challenges. By the end of the course, learners will be able to make more balanced, rational, and innovative decisions that enhance both individual and organizational outcomes.

Who can claim:
Employers registered with HRD Corp whose levy payments are up to date, under the HRD Corp Claimable Courses (SBL-Khas) scheme.
Before the course:
Apply for the grant in e-TRiS before training starts. Approval has to be in place before the first day, so leave yourself a few days.
After the course:
We submit the course-fee claim to HRD Corp, and the approved fee is paid from your levy balance. Claims are filed within six months of the training.
